Fire departments across Massachusetts are receiving survey results in which many assisted-living facilities identified ways they can enhance their fire safety in the wake of the disaster in Fall River this year.
In the wake of the Gabriel House fire that killed 10 people , the state ordered every assisted-living facilities in Massachusetts to share their fire safety plans , and all 272 did so, the Healey administration said Thursday.

Most of the facilities said they had strong fire preparedness measures in place, officials said. Thirty-six aimed to improve their fire drill, mutual aid or emergency coordination planning, and the state is asking those facilities to submit plans to correct the issues within 45 day
