The River Ridge Library in Jefferson Parish will celebrate National Cat Day on Wednesday (Oct. 29) with an evening of crafts, games, show-and-tell and best of all, a chance to play with adoptable cats from JPAWS.

Kitty bingo and cat-themed board games will take over the library, located at 8825 Jefferson Highway, starting at 5:30 p.m.

Brooke Kaufmann, DVM, will be on hand to talk about cats and their care. There will be a cat picture show and a show-and-tell to encourage visitors to share what they love about their furry friends.

Registration for the free event, hosted in partnership with JPAWS, is not required. Children must bring an adult.
