In its efforts for the restoration of the world heritage site, Capitol Complex, the Chandigarh Administration appointed a consultant for an amount of Rs 1.18 crore in 2019 . The work was supposed to be completed in three years, however, about six years have passed, the restoration, though, still stands incomplete, according to the Department of Principal Director of Audit (Central) in its latest report.
The inspection report described Rs 1.18 crore paid to the consultant as “unfruitful expenditure”.
