COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– South Carolina health officials confirm four new measles cases in Spartanburg County, part of an outbreak in the Upstate. Officials with the South Carolina Department of Public Health says this brings the total number of cases to 23 and the current number in the outbreak to 20. Doctors encourage everyone to get the measles vaccine, which they say is over 97 percent effective at preventing infection.
