NBC News’ Today’s long-standing stay in the No. 1 position in the Adults 25-54 demo is facing a serious challenge from ABC News’ Good Morning America, as only 22,000 viewers separated the two morning shows for the week of October 13.

GMA remained the most-watched morning news program in total viewers, but all three morning shows recorded week-to-week declines in both measured categories.

NOTE: All three morning shows were retitled on Monday (10/13/25). These telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. The weekly averages of ABC News, NBC News, and CBS News are based on four days (Tuesday to Friday).
