PINE RIVER — Bruce Winder, of Pine Winder Blueberry farm near Pine River, was the lucky winner of the $1,000 jackpot for the Go Pine River contest in Pine River.

Winder's name was drawn Oct. 13 at the Distinguished Service Award dinner at Bites Pub and Grub.

Dan Pflugshaupt received the second prize of $500.

Go Pine River winners are selected from among those who buy Go Pine River tickets. Only 150 Go Pine River tickets and buyers have a chance to win $100 during 49 weekly drawings starting in November. Even those who win $100 are put back into the pot for the jackpot and second prize.
