Police Thursday are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and woman in the Windsor Square neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Wilshire Area were called to the 200 block of North Ridgewood Place between Beverly Boulevard and First Street at approximately 11:45 p.m. Wednesday regarding a shooting, where they found the victims suffering from gunshot wounds, LAPD Lt. Sean Kinchla of the department's Robbery Homicide Division told reporters.

The victims were pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.

Kinchla said a second woman was also wounded in the shooting and was taken to a hospital, where she is expected to survive.
