ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) - Adams County deputies announced a man, who had been on the run since July 2023, was arrested after he fled into a wooded area.

Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said Lee Raymond Clay was wanted on multiple felony warrants, including an indictment for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and an affidavit for aggravated domestic violence.

On October 23, 2025, deputies responded to a local on Steam Plant Road in an effort to serve Clay with the outstanding indictment and affidavit. When they arrived, Patten said Clay ran away from a home.

According to the sheriff, Clay ran into a nearby wood line, down an embankment and into a creek bed. Deputies established a perimeter and began pursuing Clay through the wooded area. • Adams County deputies announced
