Former Luton captain Tom Lockyer has signed for Bristol Rovers on a contract until the end of the season.
The Wales international first joined Rovers as a 16-year-old after being released by Cardiff City and went on to represent the Gas 285 times across all competitions. Luton defender Tom Lockyer recalls moment his heart stopped for two minutes on the pitch before waking up to ‘nothingness’
He went back to train with Bristol Rovers earlier this month and he has now signed a short-term deal with the League Two club.
Lockyer has not featured in a senior competitive match since he suffered a cardiac arrest midway through Luton Town's Premier League clash against Bournemouth in December 2023.
