SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The San Diego County Sheriff's Office is participating in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday by opening several drop-off locations in which people can anonymously dispose of unwanted and expired drugs safely.
There will be nine drop-off locations throughout San Diego County from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 25, during which Sheriff's deputies will collect and dispose of expired, unused and unwanted medications free of charge. No sharps, needles or vapes will be accepted.
The following Take Back locations will be open Saturday: • Alpine Sheriff's Station - 2751 Alpine Boulevard, Alpine • Imperial Beach Sheriff’s Substation - 845 Imperial Beach Boulevard, Imperial Beach • San Marcos Sheriff’s Station - 182 Santar Place, San Marcos • Fallbroo
