FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — A multiple-vehicle crash led to a death in Foley, News 5 has learned.

According to the Foley Police Department, officers responded to a report of a wreck at the Foley Beach Express and Highway 98 intersection on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at around 2:30 p.m.

Officers found that seven vehicles were involved, while four had to be towed from the scene.

Elberta man Ernest Milton Kinsey, 62, reportedly crossed into the northbound lane of the Beach Express. His vehicle hit a Chevrolet Silverado, pushing it into five other vehicles.

Kinsey was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

The driver of the Chevy Silverado had minor injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.

This investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
