MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile man convicted of a 2023 murder has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, despite the state asking for life, News 5 has learned.

In August, 55-year-old Samuel Grace was found guilty of the intentional murder of Patrick Orr, who was killed in April 2023.

Orr was reportedly walking on Elmira Street when Grace pulled up next to him, and the two men began arguing. A fight broke out before Grace left the scene.

However, Grace later returned and shot Orr, who was taken to a hospital but did not survive.
