LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

After taking the year off, Louisville will put on another Halloween festival and parade this year.

And it has a new home.

Hallouween Parade and Fest has been taking place in various forms, names and locations for more than 20 years.

The 2024 iteration was canceled so organizers could tackle some obstacles of festivals past.

So what will it be like this year? What we know:

Date: Saturday, Oct. 25

That's right, back to one day only. That's significantly different than 2023, when the festival was four days long, but traditionally in the past, it has been just one.

The festival starts at 11 a.m., the parade at 5 p.m., and music ends at 8 p.m. After that, there will be several parties on the block that's filled with bars and restaurants.

Location : E Market Street
