Ryan Walters' controversial social studies standards could be overhauled under successor

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma State Department of Education may be going back to the drawing board in adopting new academic standards for social studies instruction after Ryan Walters' controversial version that mandated Bible teachings and debunked claims about 2020 election fraud was recently halted by the state Supreme Court.
