SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in Wisconsin have released drone footage after a 36-year-old man was arrested for his first operating while intoxicated (OWI) offense.

Early Wednesday morning, an officer with the Sun Prairie Police Department was patrolling a neighborhood when they came across a crash along Davison Drive. The vehicle had deployed airbags, and the driver appeared to have left the scene.

The officer, who is also a drone operator, deployed a drone to assist in the search. Additional officers arrived on the scene, and the drone located the suspect in the backyards of nearby homes.

Officers on the perimeter were directed to the suspect’s location. After a short foot pursuit, the man was taken into custody without injury to him or the officers.
