HARTFORD, Conn. — The state of Connecticut has entered a $1 million settlement with online clothing retailer TFG Holding, Inc.
This comes after state officials say the company deceptively marketed its VIP Membership Program to consumers and then made it difficult for them to cancel their memberships.
Attorney General William Tong announced the news Thursday afternoon, noting that TFG Holding offers shoes, clothing and accessories online across multiple brands such as JustFab, ShoeDazzle and FabKids.
Tong said that TFG Holding provides customers with discounted pricing if they sign up for the VIP Membership Program through the company. Once enrolled in the program, consumers are charged $49.95 per month.
