The end of the week means another host of primetime high school football matchups are on the docket in the 337.

With Week 8 arriving, only three weeks remain in the 2025 high school football regular season. For some teams, it’s a chance to get in the win column with New Iberia, North Vermilion and Gueydan still winless. For Gueydan, that opportunity will have to wait until next week as the Bears announced on Facebook that their Week 8 game vs Westminister Christian Academy-Lafayette has been cancelled out of concern for the health and well-being of their student athletes.

The rest of the area teams will be looking to leave it all out on the field as the postseason is just around the corner.
