LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Lansing Catholic captured its first regional title since 2016 with a 3-2 victory in overtime over Frankenmuth in the Cougars’ Division 3 regional final.
Gavin Rabideau came up clutch twice with a goal to help force overtime and then a second goal to help the Cougars win. Wangandu Mlulei scored the other goal to tie it in overtime.
It was pure domination for Lansing Christian as the Pilgrims won their second straight regional title with a 4-0 victory over Clarkston Everest Collegiate in Lansing Christian’s Division 4 regional final.
Owen Andrus scored three times, and Max Cochran added on the final goal. Brady Carmichael pitched a shutout in net for the Pilgrims.
Lansing Catholic will face Detroit Country Day in the semifinals on Oct. 29 at Howell High School. La
