ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque officials are asking for the public's input on beautifying an aging part of the city. The City of Albuquerque's Department of Municipal Development has its sights set on Girard Boulevard between Hannett Ave. and Indian School Road. Developers want to add wider sidewalks, new street lighting, and storm drains.
With the project still in its early design stage, officials are giving the public an opportunity to tell them what they want. "We are still taking public input. We still want to know what people want, what people think would be better in their neighborhood. It's our chance to incorporate all of that into our final project before we go to final design stage," said Dan Myafield, Public Information Officer for the Department of Municipal Developmen
