ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - In a legal ruling which could affect chicken owners across the Show Me State, a circuit court struck down a law limiting the power of Homeowner Associations on chickens and their coops.
The court handed down that ruling earlier this week, answering a question (at least temporarily) First Alert 4 already asked -- which comes first, the chicken or the HOA?
With this ruling from the Missouri Circuit Court, technically, HOAs cannot be kept from producing rules about chickens.
But, it may not stay that way - the Missouri Attorney General’s Office has confirmed to First Alert 4 that they plan to appeal the ruling on this case.
