SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WMBD) -- The Illinois Community College Board announced steady growth in enrollment at community colleges on Thursday.

In Fall 2025, there were 274,737 students enrolled in community colleges across the state, which is a 3.7% increase from the 264,875 students enrolled last year, according to information from the Fall 2025 Illinois Community College Opening Enrollment Report.

Gov. JB Pritzker said the increase reflects the state's commitment to make Illinois one of the best states to receive an education.
