MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A former Memphis police officer who earned the nickname “Taser Face” after investigators found he excessively used his Taser multiple times is behind bars on a DUI charge.

Colin Berryhill, 37, is charged with driving under the influence, plus violation of seat belt and open container laws.

According to the charges, this is his second DUI offense.

Shelby County Jail records show he was arrested Thursday. There’s no hearing or bail information available at this time.

The Memphis Police Department asked the state to decertify Berryhill after he violated the department’s excessive force policy three times with his Taser while on the job.
