Reba McEntire will be rockin’ around the Christmas tree.
The country music icon has been announced as this year’s host of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting in New York City.

The “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” two-hour special will air on NBC and Peacock on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. ET.
“To see all the Christmas decorations and to get to be a part of the tree lighting ceremony, Rockefeller Center, it's something that I've always wanted to do,” McEntire told PEOPLE , “and I'm honored that they asked me to do it."
The 70-year-old McEntire -- a three-time Grammy winner who currently stars on NBC’s “The Voice” and “Happy Place’s” -- will also perform during the festivities. She’ll be joined by a
