ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A man has been convicted in Escambia County of second-degree murder.
According to a news release from the Office of the State Attorney, First Judicial Circuit of Florida, Davarius James was convicted of Claudette Robinson's murder.
Robinson was found dead in her home on Feb. 3 of this year. She had bruises, broken ribs, a broken breastbone, and throat injuries. Apparently, James had tried to contact multiple people during the day, but never called 911.
The Pensacola Police Department responded after a family member called 911 at 3:29 p.m. Two hours later, Davis was found and arrested.
Davis told Detective Brendan Brown that Robinson had fallen twice that morning, allegedly causing her injuries.
