OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Fifty small cottages in Omaha are changing lives and earning national recognition with the Charles L. Edson award in Excellence in Tax Credit Housing.

Debra Sharritts lived in the Siena Francis apartments for over a year, and now, has her very own space in one of their cottages - built just two years ago.

“I see a lot of compassion down here, and this is just a stepping stone,” Debra told First Alert 6.
