LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A Bath Township woman pled guilty to embezzling from PACs connected to former Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield, officials announced Thursday evening.
Anne Minard, 38, plead guilty to one count of embezzlement $1,000 or more but less than $20,000 from a nonprofit, and for filing a false tax return.
Minard admitted to misappropriating funds from the Peninsula Fund, a nonprofit PAC connected to the Republican lawmaker.
She was initially charged in Dec. 2024 with more felonies, including conducting a criminal enterprise.
Minard agreed to plea guilty to the two felonies in exchange for truthful testimony in future hearings. She will also have to pay full restitution to the Department of Treasury.
