EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - As we near Halloween, a Tri-State college is studying the Salem Witch Trial.
Officials say Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) have put together an exhibit.
It’s run by students in a class that specifically studies the witch craze in colonial New England.
Officials say since it can be a dark subject, they wanted to do something bring light to another situation.
It Takes a Village animal shelter was on site for anyone to stop by and adopt a cat.
“I think it’s such a great opportunity to get these cats adopted. Again it brings so much people together and it’s just great,” says Avery Bowlds, sophomore at OCTC.
Officials also say the cat adoption was done to bring a positive spin to a dark event.
