EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) - President of CenterPoint Energy's Indiana region, Mike Roeder says the company's most important goal is to rebuild trust with customers and make long term solutions towards energy savings.

The announcement comes as part of the company's new initiative to keep bills at or below the rate of inflation for the next two years. They also aim to decrease bills by an average of three dollars per month starting in November.

Long term CenterPoint officials hope this will lead to an eighteen dollar decrease in cost for residential customers through 2027.

CenterPoint will also be starting community outreach to help customers learn about energy savings and usage. Officials say this is crucial in developing better commination with those they serve.
