EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- 911 Gives Hope and the Drug Enforcement Agency are minding parents that drugs are a trick not a treat.
It was all a part of their trunk or treat event held at Bosse Field. There kids could come in costume and stock up on candy ahead of Halloween. Organizers say the event allows kids to enjoy treats while parents get valuable drug prevention information. Even just an hour into the event there was already a big crowd.
Officials say it's a fun way to celebrate Halloween while spreading the message to say no to drugs.
