PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (WFLA) — The State Attorney's Office has concluded that Pinellas Park Officer Greyson Ekdahl-McBride was in fear for his life and was justified in shooting a man at an Airbnb earlier in October.

The State Attorney's Office released its findings Thursday in the investigation into the officer-involved shooting, determining that the case was a "justifiable homicide" and clearing Ekdahl-McBride of any wrong-doing.

The incident unfolded just before noon on Oct. 5 when Pinellas Park police officers received a call from a short-term rental owner who said a guest, Eric Ton, was refusing to leave the property.
