ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - There is no more room at the Etowah County Animal Shelter. Every kennel is full and they are no longer accepting surrenders.

Director Gracie Griggs with the Etowah County Animal Shelter says she’s on a mission to save as many animals as possible but the lack of space is preventing that from happening.

“The problem is, is that as soon as we get them adopted out, we have more that is coming straight to us,” said Griggs.

With more animals coming in and the shelter at full capacity, Director Griggs says it was time for her to reach out to the community for help.

“We’re running out of kennels for these babies and so, we would really love a donation of kennels, and we just ask that everybody treat their animals better,” said Griggs.
