LSU freshman offensive lineman Carius Curne will start at left tackle in place of injured starter and redshirt sophomore Tyree Adams this Saturday when the Tigers take on Texas A&M (6:30 p.m., ABC), coach Brian Kelly said on his radio show Thursday.
Saturday will be Curne's first start at left tackle and his second career start. He started at right tackle in place of redshirt freshman Weston Davis against Ole Miss in Week 5. Davis suffered a concussion and a broken nose in pregame warmups, forcing Curne into the lineup.
Against the Rebels, Curne allowed just one quarterback hit and no sacks, according to Pro Football Focus.
Before this week, instead of turning to Curne, LSU had slotted redshirt sophomore offensive lineman DJ Chester at left tackle in Adams' place. Chester replaced
