Hundreds of people gathered in San Francisco late Thursday for a march and rally in opposition of President Donald Trump’s immigration policy.
The demonstration at the Embarcadero Plaza near the Ferry Building is part of a day of action in the Bay Area, including a demonstration at Coast Guard Island in Alameda that saw protesters clash with police and federal agents.
Earlier in the day, Trump announced he called off plans to deploy federal agents to San Francisco after speaking with Mayor Daniel Lurie.
