TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Ruth Springob is pretty proud of her three adult sons, who all live in different states.

“My boys’ names are David, Dan and Paul,” Springob said as she pointed out her sons in a photo.

Since one of her sons lives near Durango, Colorado, she made travel arrangements and booked a three-night stay at a nice hotel for just over $1,209.99. But weeks before leaving, something came up, and she called the hotel to cancel her reservation.

That’s when she learned she had actually booked the room using Expedia. “I did not know that. I found out when I called the hotel to cancel,” Springob said.

She said the hotel canceled her reservation with no problem. But, they told her she would have to get her refund from Expedia since that’s where she booked the room.
