Female employees in Delhi will now be able to work night shifts in shops and other commercial establishments. The Delhi government issued a notification on Thursday, formally granting permission for this. However, written consent from female employees will be mandatory for this.

The notification states that every employee will receive double the normal wage for overtime, and the maximum weekly working limit has been set at 48 hours. Additionally, it has been made mandatory to form an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in all establishments.
