(KRON) -- The Oakland Police Department said three juveniles were arrested in connection with a carjacking which led to a police pursuit early Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred just after 4:25 a.m. in the 1100 block of 30th Street.

OPD said officers soon located the carjacked vehicle occupied by several people in the area of 35th Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. The three juvenile suspects were taken into custody after a police pursuit.

Oakland police said their Criminal Investigations Division also responded to the scene for a follow-up investigation.

Despite the arrests, this remains an ongoing case.
