WASHINGTON - Former Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan responded Wednesday to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan’s criminal referral, dismissing the allegations as part of “Trump’s revenge tour” and accusing Jordan of trying to “be a supplicant to Donald Trump.”
In an interview on MSNBC, Brennan accused the Champaign County Republican of “trying to twist my words and misrepresent and mischaracterize the facts as a way to play to and be a supplicant to Donald Trump, which is why he’s making this referral now to Department of Justice.”
Jordan on Tuesday asked the Department of Justice to criminally prosecute Brennan, claiming he lied to Congress about the Steele dossier’s role in a 2017 intelligence assessment on Russian election interference. The referral allege
