Fifth-seeded Lawrence defeated 12th-seeded Hightstown 4-1 in the first round of the Colonial Valley Conference Tournament in Lawrenceville behind two goals from Ava Donnelly.

Lawrence scored all four goals in the first half, rolling to a victory. Emma Skinner and Slavina Dusichka each added a goal.

Taylor Sweeney scored the lone goal for Hightstown.

Lawrence (10-6) will visit fourth-seeded Princeton in the quarterfinal round on Saturday at a time to be announced. Hightstown fell to 4-12-1 on the season.
