The Erie Metropolitan Planning Organization is seeking public input for its Long Range Transportation Plan update, with two meetings held at the Booker T. Washington Center on Thursday.

Every five years, the Erie County Long Range Transportation Plan is updated to address the county's future transportation needs. This year, the Erie Metropolitan Planning Organization is emphasizing transparency and public involvement in the planning process.

"We need that input from the public to understand what their priorities are," said Chris Groner, Director at Erie Development Services. "Resources are very limited and there is no shortage of projects. We really need to know what's important to the community so we can prioritize and make sure we find the funds to support those projects."
