EAST LANSING, Mich (WLNS) - The MSU vs Michigan football game this Saturday is expected to bring in over $29 million, according to a study done by the consulting firm Anderson Economic Group.
The battle for the Paul Bunyan trophy will take place in East Lansing, which will bring thousands of fans to the area and millions of dollars to East Lansing’s economy. Businesses are working to get ready for the big weekend by preparing for an increase in foot traffic and sales.
Barrio, a taco restaurant in downtown East Lansing, is expecting numbers to increase as soon as Friday. Wyatt Coppens is a server and manager at Barrio and said despite the game taking place in Ann Arbor last year, sales still increased by 200%.
