KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Derek Rang’s Oak Ridge Wildcats have been on a quite a roll this season and the Cats were purring again Thursday night as they ventured into West Knox County to face Farragut.
Penalties last week plagued the Wildcats more than anything, but Oak Ridge would clean up its act against the Admirals scoring early and often on their way to a convincing 45-21 win.
Now 9-0, 5-0 in region play, the victory sets up a Week 11 region title-game showdown for the Wildcats against Maryville .
Farragut, who is 2-7 overall and 2-3 in region play, will need a win next Thursday at Cleveland to qualify for the playoffs.
Make sure to tune into Varsity All Access on Friday night at 11 on WVLT for more scores and highlights from week 10 of high school football in East Tennessee.
