HARTFORD, Conn. — The Bridgeport Islanders will be without two key contributors when they take the short trip north to play the Hartford Wolf Pack at PeoplesBank Arena Friday night.
The puck drops at 7 p.m., as Connecticut’s two American Hockey League franchises face off for the first time in the 2025-2026 regular season.
The Islanders (1-3) are on a two-game losing streak. They will take the ice without two key players on Friday after the NHL’s New York Islanders recalled forward Matthew Highmore and defenseman Marshall Warren.
Highmore, a 29-year-old from Halifax, Nova Scotia, played in all four games for Bridgeport this year and recorded four assists.
Last season, Highmore played 41 games for the Ottawa Senators, compiling two goals and four assists. He has played in 187 NHL games
