DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - It’s been more than a year and a half since the City of Duluth entered an agreement with a developer to begin work on restoring the last undeveloped mixed-use site along the Duluth waterfront.
According to the Duluth Economic Development Authority, the vacant area in the Bayfront District has sat vacant for more than two decades, and is too contaminated to begin development.
According to DEDA Executive Director Tricia Hobbs, this is due to what the site was used for more than 20 years ago.
