South Pittsburg found the end zone early and often Thursday night. The Pirates continued their onslaught of opponents, topping Copper Basin 86-7 at Beene Stadium.
South Pitt took a commanding 44-0 lead in the first quarter. The Pirates led 72-7 by the time halftime rolled around.
Whitwell got back in the win column with a 15-7 win over Jo Byrns. The Tigers will wrap up the regular season next week at South Pittsburg.
Chattooga edged out Dade County 28-21. After an 0-4 start to the year, the Indians have won three of their last five games.
