The Defence Acquisition Council ( DAC ) has approved capital procurement proposals worth Rs 79,000 crore (around US$9 billion), covering missiles, surveillance systems, naval guns , torpedoes, sensors, ammunition, autonomous aerial systems, and high mobility vehicles . Year-to-date approvals for the financial year have reached Rs 2.51 lakh crore, up from Rs 2.22 lakh crore in FY25, signalling continued momentum in India’s defence procurement.
