Defenceman Carson Woodall picked a good time to finally find the back of the net.
Woodall leads all Ontario Hockey League defenceman in scoring, but all his points had been assists until Thursday.
The 19-year-old Woodall, who is from Belle River, scored both Windsor goals as the No. 4-ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League scored a 2-0 win over the Ottawa 67’s at the WFCU Centre.
“The second one (into an empty net from his own end), I got pretty lucky with, but it’s nice to finally get one,” said Woodall, who is now tied for the OHL scoring lead with 19 points in 14 games. “You don’t see a zero (for goals) anymore and that’s fun.”
Let’s put it in perspective
