: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu held a series of meetings in Tokyo on Thursday aimed at expanding cultural and economic cooperation between India and Japan.

Khandu is currently on an official visit to Japan. The Chief Minister met Yasutoshi Nishimura, Member of the House of Representatives, Japan, and Chairman of the Japan–India Parliamentary Friendship League.

Khandu held a meeting with Mr. Hiroshi Tanimura, Executive Director, Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA).

Khandu discussed ways to enhance tourism cooperation between Japan and the North East region of India, especially Arunachal Pradesh and to promote two-way travel opportunities.
