CHILTON COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A Verbena man who appealed his cruelty to animals conviction from April 2025 was again found guilty of the same charge by a jury in October.
According to Chilton County District Attorney C.J. Robinson, 50-year-old Cupid Seymour was convicted of cruelty to animals back in April and was originally sentenced to one year in the Chilton County Jail and two years of probation. He was also ordered to pay $3,500 in restitution and a $1,000 fine.
Seymour appealed the conviction and the case was retried in Chilton County the week of Oct. 20. Seymour was again found guilty by a jury.
