The high-powered Sierra Canyon Trailblazers (8-0, 3-0) will put their perfect record on the line Friday night when they travel to La Puente to face the Bishop Amat Lancers (5-3, 2-1) in a key late-season Mission League matchup.
Sierra Canyon comes in after dismantling Notre Dame 45-10 last week behind a spectacular offensive performance from its senior duo, as quarterback Laird Finkel threw for 329 yards and three touchdowns, and running back Jerod Terry Jr. rumbled for 241 yards and two scores.
The Lancers have found their stride with back-to-back victories, including last week’s 30-14 win at Loyola powered by junior quarterback Domenico Doran and senior running back Ryan Salcedo. Bishop Amat will seek redemption after suffering a 38-0 defeat when these teams met last October in Chatswo
