A 21-year-old man walking along the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Friday morning was hit and killed by the driver of a vehicle , Pennsylvania State Police said.
Khalil Mutadabur, of Pittsburgh, was fatally injured in the hit-and-run crash around 2:30 a.m. in Beaver County near milepost 14, not far from the Beaver Valley interchange, authorities said.

The crash on the Turnpike closed the eastbound lanes between the New Castle and Cranberry interchanges for hours as investigators worked the scene.
State police said Mutadabur was walking westbound along the eastbound lanes of the Turnpike when he was hit and killed by an unknown driver. T
